This is a closeout model on w a l m a r t.com, search for the model IMTL49606 and you'll see a bevy of true reviews there AND a lower price ($ 374)! It's averaging 3.5/5 stars there so I rated it that as well here on Amazon so other users can have an idea of the quality of this product.

ProForm Epic 1200 Pro Elliptical Review

Epic is just yet another brand name created by Icon Health & Fitness which also includes Nordictrack, ProForm, Weider, and Healthrider to name a few.Essentially the Epic EL 1200 is the top-of-the line ProForm.They gave it a new brand because they realize the ProForm brand represents the lower end of the elliptical trainer market.Having previously had a 7-yo top of the line Nordictrack Elliptical, I can vouch (so far) that this machine is indeed pseudo-commercial quality and I would say is on par with the construction quality of ellipticals costing nearly twice as much.The question is, will it last, which is yet to be seen.

It's really beefy and HUGE.This is in part because it has a motorized adjustable ramp to adjust the incline to turn from an elliptical trainer into almost a stair climber.Note that the motorized ramp is patented technology licensed from none other than Precor.Precor is widely acknowledged as the king of the commercial/health club quality elliptical machines and the Precor cost upwards of $3K or more!

We did have a problem with the machine initialy in that during assembly at the factory a hole that was drilled hit some wiring causing the resitance function to not work.Being a brand new model from a huge company like Icon that builds all their stuff in China, this is not entirely surprising to me given that I got the very first production run, Version A, model from Costco (last one,floor model - Costco no longer carries it - got a STEAL of a deal).I'm ICON has worked out any assembly glitches since then.

The machine is extremely smooth and as I said, BEEFY.WAY better engineered than our old Nordictrack.Huge bolts, lots of bearings, etc. It does truly feel like a commercial quality machine.Because of the adjustable ramp, the flywheel has to go in back which makes this machine have a very long footprint, much longer than machines with the flywheel in front (like Sole) so if you have space issues, this probably wouldn't be a good choice.The length is 7-1/2 feet long!

It has all the basic functions on the control panel and they all work well.You can even program your own custom workouts.The only feature missing you see on some higher end models is the ability for the machine to alter the resistance automatically based on your heart rate.However from what I understand the Healthrider Accurate wireless health monitor is compatible with this machine so you can at least get wireless heart rate readings.

As with all these machines, it is the long term performance that is important.It only comes with a 90-day warranty which makes no sense considering they created the Epic brand just for the machine apparently to reflect its higher quality but they give it the same warranty as their lower end machines?This may refelect their uncertainty how this brand new machine will perform over the long-term.The 4-year extended warranty though was only like $130 if I recall, so it baffled me why this higher end, 'commercial quality' machine doesn't come with at least a one year warranty.The 90-day is going to scare a lot of people off looking for a high-quality machine I think.

In using it a while and looking it over, it definitely is the most commercial-like quality machine I've seen come from Icon (ProForm, Nordictrack) so far, but it isn't a Precor.There's alot of cheap flimsy plastic parts covering the components.They look fine though and are common on most machines. It does have a decent 18" stride length and oversized foot rests with this grippy gelmaterial.

I researched these machines a lot.Bottom line, if you want an adjustable incline and don't have $3K to spend for a Precor, this is the ticket.If you don't need the adjustable incline, go with the Sole E25 or E35 for $200-$500 more and get an even higher quality machine with a smaller footprint.I think Sole is the best overall value consider their quality, but this is a close second and a first for value if you want adjustable incline.Be sure to get the 4-year warranty extention if you do by one, then you can rest assured you are covered.

Impulse Sport 9 Heart Rate Monitor Review

This is the 2nd heart rate monitor I've owned.The first one was a Polar which worked great but I lost the watch.So I got this one fir $69 and it works great.I wish I had bought it here for cheaper.Anyhow, the thing works, the straps aren't too bad, it's pretty standard and light.And in fact, the Impulse watch is also compatible with my Polar strap, so in case one breaks, I've got a backup I guess.I'm happy with it.

Pure Fitness Inversion Therapy Table Review

I've been having severe lower back pain for years and have been going to a chiropracter for about 8 months now with no improvment. I purchased this item 3 weeks ago and for the first time in about 3 years, I'm finally getting some relief. I am very encouraged that if I keep using this, my back pain will at the very least be greatly reduced. Although it still hurts, I can tell it's improving. The product itself is very sturdy, and as far as inversion tables go, you can't beat the price I got on Amazon. It was also easy to put together. VERY happy with my purchase!!

Smooth Fitness 5.45 Folding Treadmill Review

GOOD POINTS:My wife and I use it every day.It is solid as a rock and quiet.We absolutely got our money's worth and I'd buy it again, hands-down.

BAD POINTS: It is MASSIVE!Because we bought this from Amazon, it came shipped to us just like you'd think.But at 200+ lbs, it remained in our garage until five guys from church came and carried it to our basement.Once there, I had to assemble it.

Mind you, assembly is mostly-done for you.But there's work for you to do, and don't make any mistake about it.Setting this thing up takes time and effort, but it's worth it.

ADVICE: buy this from the manufacturer's web site and pay for their White Glove service.If you do, once it arrives someone will lug it to any room in your home and *then* assemble it for you.Trust me on this, just spend the money and let someone else deal with it!Learn from my mistake.If you opt to save money like I did, you will be sorry you did when this thing arrives at the end of your driveway.At least I was.

One last thing: make sure where you put it has an AC outlet nearby.You will need it (this thing needs power).If you do like me and put it in your basement, go out and buy a power-strip (with a 10-foot or more cord) and have it handy, so the installation people can plug it in once it's all assembled.In our case, I even taped-down the power-strip cable to the floor, so you don't trip over it.

Again, once assembled and where it's suppose to be in your home, this is money well spent.I can't tell you enough how solid and reliable it is.Just pay someone else to deal with the set-up hassle and you'll be all set.

This is a well thought out class. Nice sequencing, clear instructions. The Cd makes it very versitile, as you can do the whole CD, which is a challenging class, or choose to leave out some of the more advanced tracks. WOW.This is a very deep and thorough book.I'm not sure where to begin...How about some questions:

- Can you define strength deficit?
- What's the difference between "strength-speed" and "speed-strength?"
- Distinction between central fatigue and peripheral fatigue?

The above concepts and much more were covered in only the first twenty pages.Get the picture as to the depth of this text?

I have the CSCS certification.I thought the CSCS was tough when I took the exam.But, looking back on it now and comparing it to Supertraining, the CSCS material is kinda pathetic.Cheers!

Very good product. Well made and safe. My kids 3 and 5 love to play on the trampoline. Its good for exercise. It does not take all of your yard space. I would highly recommend this. I would give 5 stars if it would have came with stakes to attach to the ground. Its bit hard to find stakes which has round heads, which can get along with pipe legs.

Bladez H914 Jet Indoor Cycling Bike Review

I received the bike today and was pleasantly surprised by the quality! The fit and finish is absolutely fantastic! It took me about 25 minutes to assemble. I took my time, so it could take less to assemble. Nearly everything is pre-assembled except for the footing and the peddles. Most things just needed tightening down. It came with all the tools you will need except for a screw driver. It appears that they use standard bike components, so upgrades or repairs shouldn't be a concern. I was a bit hesitant to buy this product since I couldn't find any reviews, but I am glad I did. It rides well for a stationary bike. It is relatively quiet. The only down side to the bike but I think it is the same with any other bike is, I wish changing the seat height was a bit quicker. My wife is 5'3" and I am 6'4", so it is going to be a pain switching back and forth.

BH Fitness X4 Elliptical Trainer Review

I bought the BH Fitness X4 Elliptical Trainer at a Gold Box price and am well pleased with my purchase. It was a little intimidating at first when the box arrived and there were so many parts inside. However, it was obvious by the packing and the instructions that this was not a cheaply-made piece of equipment. It was well laid out how to put it together, but even so expect it to take at least 3 hours assembly time from start to finish. The end result is quite impressive. The picture doesn't quite prepare a person that it's going to stand so tall and take up so much room, but it makes me feel like I got my money's worth in a gym-quality piece of equipment.

As for the actual use of it, I had to start off slow and build up to even 15 minutes on it because of the workout intensity it provides. And I've not even scratched the surface of its capability. This particular trainer probably works best for people over approximately 5'5" tall and up to probably 6'2" tall, but that's just my guess. Everyone at my house falls in that range so it's good for us. It runs smoothly and quietly which is always a plus. No problems so far.

I received both the Powertec P-UB bench and this leg extension attachment for my birthday last month (I specifically asked for both) and really like them.They are very well-made and not very difficult to put together.The cushions on the attachment feel solid and it is nice to be able to lock the extension in place and use the bench for ab work with legs anchored.

All-in-all I am very impressed with both products.

I received this for Christmas.Full assembly was required, but it was not difficult and can be accomplished in less than a half hour if you have an adjustable wrench and a socket wrench set.My shipment included "revised" assembly instructions in the packing slip.I didn't realize that until I called the shipper for help.

The finished product is very sturdy, moves smoothly, and can be adjusted for position at several locations to ensure a comfortable and effective workout.

I'd have given this five stars if the two grip bars weren't constructed to be so far apart.There are six different grip options, and I'm too short to use one of them due to the wide spacing.That's only remarkable because I'm 6'2" tall.

PowerBlock Elite 90 Adjustable 5 to 90-Pounds per Dumbbell Set Review

After years of collecting the old standard hex dumbells, and trying to maintain a home gym in the city in various apartments (usually in the common basement) I found the PowerBlock dumbells.For someone without a dedicated room (with lots of space) for their workout equipment, these are fantastic dumbells.They go up to 85 or 90lbs without the add-on kit, and they are super fast and easy to change the weight. They are pricey, but considering the amount of dumbells they replace, well worth it, for the right user.

After using the PowerBlock setup for a couple years I came across IronMaster, another brand with adjustable dumbells.They go to 75lbs without the add-on kit, and cost a little less than the PowerBlock dumbells.I have BOTH in my home gym now, and I will go over the pros and cons of each for those of you trying to decide on a set up like this.

PowerBlocks:

Pros: Well made, comfortable grip, fast and easy to change the weight in 10lb increments, nice stand included, made in USA, ability to go up to 85-90lbs as is, and 120lbs with add-on. Excellent for exercises where you change weight quickly or frequently. Square dumbells don't roll.

Cons: Funky design with 4 pillars around your hand/wrist. It works, but it makes me nervous at higher weights that if I were to drop them I could somehow catch my wrist in there and hurt myself.Difficult to quickly switch weights in increments smaller than 10lbs.This is a problem for many exercises.Although they are sturdy, and have never given out on me, they rattle and the plates move a little when you use them. Again, they seem sturdy but when doing shoulder or bench press it's a little disconcerting.You need to make sure the magnetic pins are fully inserted and in the right spot or disaster could ensue.The dumbells get long when using a lot of weight which can be somewhat awkward for certain exercises.

Overall:These dumbells are best for exercises where you change the weight frequently, or quickly, and work best for non-press exercises in my experience. The add-on kit is a nice option, but the dumbells are already pretty long at 85-90lbs, so it may be impractical for a lot of exercises.They were the first of their kind, they are still a serious contender in this ring.

IronMaster:

Pros: Well Made. More traditional looking & feeling dumbells.Up to 75lbs as is, and 125lbs with kit.Not as long as PowerBlocks, no awkward pillars to stick your hand in between.Nice stand included.Great bench and other accessories available (better than PowerBlock bench after using both). No rattling or moving of plates when in use.Sturdy and well balanced and made in USA. Excellent for press exercises. Just as quick to change the weight in 2.5lb or 5lb increments as it is by 10lbs or more.

Cons: Takes significantly longer to change the weight than PowerBlocks.For press exercises I find this to be less of an issue, but for curls and other quick change exercises it's a bit of a pain.No locking mechanism for the screw in pins.This has never been an issue, or caused a dumbell to fall apart during use, but there's no locking mechanism (or magnet such as PowerBlocks) just friction preventing the pin from unscrewing.I'm not too worried about it, but it has crossed my mind.

Overall: These dumbells are best for users who use higher weights for press exercises and want the traditional look and feel of a dumbell you might find in the gym.They don't rattle or move, and are very solid.They also go higher in weight than the PowerBlocks with the add-on kit, and cost less.Not as good for users using ligher weight and requiring quick changes.

Conclusion:For me, having both pairs is a pretty good set up, but If I were to choose just one, I would stick with the IronMaster.I like them for their sturdiness and lack of rattling especially when using heavy weight.In addition to the IronMaster, I would buy a cheaper set of adjustable dumbells with a lower maximum weight (50lbs maybe) that could be easily adjusted in 5lb (or smaller) increments to use for curls and kickbacks etc...and stick with the IronMaster for the heavier weights, where I really don't mind the extra minute of rest to change the weight! In fact, I think I will sell my PowerBlocks and get a set up like this, and have some money left over for Muscle Milk! :)

P.S. the IronMaster adjustable bench is the BEST I have used!

I purchased iYoga a few months ago from Amazon.I thought I was no good at yoga because I was tired of working out to the same old DVDs and I just didn't make much progress with the few classes I could get to each month.When I first got iYoga, I tried the classes that came with it, they were pretty good and easy to follow and the best part was I could play my own music. Next, I modified the included classes to contain more of my favorite poses and changed some of the pose durations (this was really easy to do). Then I typed in a few of my favorite sequences from Bodies in Motion by Rodney Yee and even found a few on the web to try (if they're on the web you don't have to type them in), this gave me so much variety it re-interested me in yoga. Now,I want to do yoga every day, luckily iYoga also makes it really easy for me to practice while I am traveling too, all I need is my laptop and yoga paws.One of my concerns before using iYoga was that the computer voice would be too mechanical, but it's really not, in fact I find it soothing and enjoyable.iYoga is great. If you are really serious about hand grips, and you want something that is not your standard sport shop model, this is where to go.I got the Trainer, and for someone like myself that has been using hand grips since childhood, it was too easy.Then I got #1 and that was tuff; but I decided to get #2 and #3 as well.I have just recently graduated from #1 and using #2, and maybe in a year or more I can go to #3 and get certified.
Let me tell you this, if you can squeeze #2 at least once all the way, you are good.You can't really understand what I am trying to tell unless you get one.So if you are person that has never used hand grips regularly if at all, then go with the Trainer.If you have been using hand grips for awhile, and looking for something harder, then get the #1.

Bayou's Assisted Vertical Knee Raise Power Tower Review

Unit arrived within four days, free shipping, ground!

Very impressed with the finished product.The assist really helps and works well.The unit has some nice features, like both the assist platform and dip arms easily folds out of the way and lock in place giving more room for chinning.

At 200 and 130lbs the chinning and dip bars are adequate for me and my wife.There is a little give in the bars when I use it, but it still feels very safe.I doubt that it would hold up well if 4-5 guys were using it, but it should last us fine.

The unit came nicely packaged in double boxes and shipping was free and much faster than I anticipated.

While it did take a the better part of an evening to assemble, the instructions were very clear and warned that assembly would take some time.You'll need a 17mm wrench (or crescent or pliers) along with the included allen wrenches.Power tools don't work well, because some of the angles make access tough. A 17mm ratchet would be quicker than a wrench.

Unfortunately the unit says made in China in several places, so ease of assembly is somewhat compromised by manufacturing quality.The instructions said you might need a hammer to complete assembly.I didn't need one, but thought about it a couple times.

One last note regarding assembly.One component was not drilled.It looks like the part was packaged before it went through the final manufacturing step.I called the company using the number listed on the manual.I got a quick response and they are sending a new part, no problem.The 10-20 day estimated delivery is kind of a bummer, but now I can drill the hole in the original part myself and not worry about voiding any warranty and having to send anything back.

Overall, I'm very happy with the product, price and service.

Giant Angled Leg Press Review

Bought this on Amazon through Pro Therapy Sales. I contacted the manufacturer because after I assembled it would not slide correctly. Got no response via phone and then emailed them a few days later. They did respond but basically said not their problem, contact the seller.... and since I got it off of Amazon it was probably used (it was not- brand new in the box from Yukon). Once I did get Pro Therapy to respond to me they contacted the factory to call me on a day promised. They did not and the seller had to contact me and Yukon again. A Yukon rep tried to help me with several ways to fix it but it never really worked. It does not function smoothly and at all what I expected. I wanted to return and they tried to send a replacement which I did not want. Still trying to get a refund. If you buy this product you will be sorry...the seller and the manufacturer need to learn what good customer service is. For the price and effort involved to assemble you would expect quality and good customer service.

This was one of my favorite videos when I was new to yoga, and it's still my top recommendation to others looking to try yoga for the first time. The best thing about this practice is that it offers four different levels of modifications, making it completely accessible to everyone, including those who are inflexible yet overweight. The practice is led by a beautifully inspiring older instructor, Suzanne Deason, whose voice is calm and whose body is both strong and limber. She is accompanied by three yoga students, two of whom are larger-sized; I particularly liked how the two larger models displayed the more flexible versions of the poses, showing that all the poses can be done by anyone, regardless of body type. The practice itself is a gentle yoga workout for your entire body, with a particular focus on your breathing and an inclusion of abs/core work. It begins with some basic breathing instruction in both seated and standing positions. Suzanne then leads your through a nice variety of standing poses, including a warrior series, lunges, triangle, and wide legged forward bend. The practice concludes on the floor with abdominal work, twists, bridge, and relaxation pose to finish, for a total of 47 minutes. If you are doing modified versions of the poses, props such as a yoga block are recommended.

This is an excellent practice that is both relaxing and energizing. More advanced yoga students may find the routine to be too slow and the moves to be too easy, but as I said above, it's ideally suited to beginners. Do you think that you're not flexible enough to do yoga? So did I; this video changed my mind. Highly recommended!

Rev Curl Bar Review

Unfortunately, this revolving bar as received did not revolve well at all.I had to file down several metal burrs at the rotating points and lube it up with grease to make it turn semi-decently.It still "grabs" on occasion, which is kind of annoying at the end of a tough workout.

Skullys Floor Board Game Review

I was talking with a co-worker about the games we played growing up and Skullys was discussed. I decided to introduce the children i work with to skullys, I made my very own board out of poster board, electrical tape, and contact paper, and the kids loved it. Powertec L-SC Leverage Squat / Calf Review

Very happy with this product! Walking around like a sore stick man today, and those of you that do squats know what Im talking about. :) Very sturdy, easy to assemble, but I need to quantify. At a minimum you will need a decent wrench set and prefferably a 1/2 in ratchet with SAE sockets. 3/8 ths would work but these are some BIG bolts on this thing! Another person is absolutely neccessary for one small part, but not a bruiser needed, wife or kid or girlfriend can do it. As far as the excercise, its wonderful! Im too old, 53 to be playing with as heavy of weights as I need for free squats anymore. I can do them, but I worry about an injury and healing time now. I loaded this bear up with 360 pounds and got busy, knocking out a couple of sets of eight....Smooth, felt very secure, confidence helped me to push myself harder than I can anymore with free squats. Did calves also; no problem here, but went heavy enough, that I may put a towel or something between me and the pads, for extra cushion until the pads get broken in a bit. Great machine, will let me do things I always wanted to beable to do at home. If you want a big chest, back or arms, and I mean truly big, You MUST do squats, they are the foundation for any truly serious bodybuilder.

Bryan Kest's Original Power Yoga :: Weight Loss and Power Abs Review

While I was most impressed with Bryan Kest's "Power Yoga Complete Collection" released in 1995, this 2003 release was disappointing in more ways than one:

(1) Bryan Kest: excessive talking and zero personal demonstration;
(2) Little in the way of killer techniques to tweak/improve on standard asanas;
(3) Ultra slow-paced walk through the Vinyasa flow;
(4) The so-called "power yoga" abs routines are but exercises drawn from pilates practice; and
(5) To top it all off, questionable choice of music best described as "elevator".

This 2003 release was a stark contrast compared to the well-choreographed 3-in-1 DVD released in 1995 where Kest personally instructed and demonstrated ashtanga-rooted poses, complete with just the right dose of inspirational messages and cool yoga-inspired music based on traditional Dhrupad raga Bhairavi et al. The 2003 release saw Kest merely paying lip service to simple and uninspiring moves.Yogis who have tried out both routines would not fail to notice Kest's marked weight gain without having serious thought about the 'chicken-and-egg' of it all.The sad truth is that Kest is no longer convincing as a first-rate yoga instructor like he did in the 90s.

For those serious in clinching the best home-use yoga DVD, I would highly recommend combining Bryan Kest's original series (1995) with Shiva Rea's Yoga Shakti (2004).These two DVDs are highly motivational and have the effect of eliciting future re-use value. And to each its owns: while Kest's 1995 collection offers the intermediate-beginner substantial aerobics workout from his well structured vinyasa routines, Shiva Rea's Yoga Shakti offers a matrix system where viewers can mix and match routines to the tune of their body/moods. Epic T60 Treadmill Review

I've run about 400 miles on mine over the course of a few years, with no serious problems. The tread is made from high quality rubber, the machine is very stable, the 60 inch tread length is great, and it's easy to adjust the tread (left or right a centimeter or so, maybe every 100 miles) with a supplied allen wrench. Here are the minor issues I've encountered:
1. It is very difficult to move. You have to lift about 100 pounds just to roll it in a very limited manner.
2. It doesn't beep anymore (to indicate events like power on, or setting the speed to 10MPH, etc.).
3. The pulse measuring feature doesn't work very well. It measures my pulse too quickly (within 3 seconds), or not at all, and as a result it is not very accurate or consistent.
4. It measures distance incorrectly at the very start-- If I start from rest and click 10MPH, the reported distance increases as if I am going 10MPH immediately, while the actual speed is climbing up to 10MPH over the course of about 15 seconds. In other words, it reports I run a mile in exactly 6 minutes when really the first 15 seconds were at a slower pace.
5. The aluminum panel at the front end of the tread is flimsy. I stepped on it twice while running, almost destroying the panel on one occasion. It is now a bit warped and it almost touches the tread. I've learned to avoid it, which is easy when you have 60 inches to work with.

I was apprehensive about purchasing a large and heavy item online. Further, prior to purchasing, I was unable to see the item at a local store. Nevertheless, I decided on this item, because of its advertised feature; i.e., television, and bright, large LED display(s), along with heavy duty motor, and other customary treadmill inclusions. Most other treadmills reasonably priced, offer a television, or LED workout display, but not both. For example, see the Nautilus, and Reebok machines, made by ICON. This machine, however, has a great tv screen and below it, bright, good sized, LED workout indicators.

Delivery was superfast. The item was drop-shipped from the plant in California, and left per my instructions at the rear of my house. Assembly went ok, taking about 2-3 hours. The instructions were choppy, and need refinement, but I was able to figure things out without calling support.The treadmill materials are fairly good, perhaps a little too much plastic. You will need two people to assemble the console to the treadmill arms. The machine worked perfectly upon start-up. All treadmill functions, and controls work great. The machine is fairly quiet. The tv screen is excellent, and again, worked right out of the box. The treadmill has a cover at the front of the track that is about 1-2 inches too long. If one is standing too close to the front of the machine, your toe(s) may touch this cover. This can be easily remedied by the manufacturer. Overall, I would give this machine 4 1/2 stars, losing a half star for the instructions, and aforestated front cover.

Yes.But keep in mind that if you usually work out alone you will have to be creative to find a way to anchor it down.It was a little disappointing for me to find that they don't have an adjustable clasp or fastner to adjust the length on the cord.I've usually had to wrap it around the base of other exercise equipment in my home to make it work.

I purchased this item to get in some extra cardio while in front of the TV.After looking at the other options available I decided that this mini-tramp was a good balance between reasonable price and quality features.When the mini-tramp arrives, it requires that you install the metal, threaded legs to the tramp.I had one small hitch, as an extra piece of metal (small extra bump) on one of the legs required that I take out my Dremel Tool and remove the extraneous "bump" so that the last leg could be screwed on.No big deal since I knew how to fix it (I'm a chick with tools :O) Once the legs are on, you fold the unit open and you are ready to bounce.This mini-tramp is not the "bounciest" one I have ever tried, but it gets the job done.Overall, the unit feels steady when used and well made.It folds open and closed easily, and makes no noise when in use. I would buy this again.

I will make this review quick and to the point.I found Jon Kabat-Zinn's voice on the recording to be very uncomfortable to listen to.I can't quite articulate why, it just doesn't seem natural or flowing, which is essential to relaxing the mind.It was recommended by a friend who obviously didn't find a problem with it.I would suggest listening to a portion of it (maybe on itunes) before buying it.

The bench is decent, I can't say its a sweet deal but for the amount of money you are paying, I guess you aren't being ripped off either.there is no installation manual so you have to put it together based on the exploded diagram. also the way the machine is made, for those people of shorter stature, the back and bottom are very uncomfortable. TINIKLING SET WITH HANDLES. This is for teaching a Filipino dance to children who spent long hours researching and studying this country. They were very disappointed when they saw it. They are suppossed to be bamboo sticks.
This product was a bunch of crap. Nowhere does it specify that it is PVC pipe put together. For the money, it was outrageous. This is something that could be made by products in our local hardware store by a novice. If you are going to advertise a product, please specify that you did not even try to make it look authentic (fake looking bamboo). I am disappointed and will no longer purchase or recommend this product.

I tried it and was very disapointed.I am a massage therapist and wanted to know how many calories I used.It doesn't work on any upper body movements.

I have been doing Bryans type of power yoga for years. I started with the dvds (actually vhs) and when these cd's came out, I bought them immediately! Although the poses themselves are not that difficult, this practice is definately challenging. He seriously only does sun salutations A & B, triangle- small active rest, then reversed triangle-followed by another active rest, bow pose, then he takes you to a shoulder stand & plough, finally savasana. In a normal class, this practice might run you 45-50 minutes. But Bryans unique teaching and chatter makes the difference. Prepare to sweat! Although this cd is for all levels, please have some knowledge of the poses before you start. It'll help you more than the booklet! Enjoy!!

I purchased this book because it seemed to contain information similar to another yoga manual, The Anatomy of Hatha Yoga, but with the information presented in a more down-to-earth, less scientific manner (The Anatomy of Hatha Yoga is excellent, just a bit above my head!). This book is neither strictly a reference tool nor a practice guide, yet author Kraftsow touches on both of these areas. He presents information mainly in the former of vignettes describing past clients with whom he has worked. After providing an overview of the anatomical issues involved in various types of posture groups, Kraftsow goes into therapeutic applications of yoga, covering complains ranging from common aches and pains to physical diseases to emotional issues. He stresses the importance of customizing the prescribed yoga routine to each individual, but the wealth of information provided offers plenty of guidelines to allow readers to develop their own specialized practice. This book would also be very useful for yoga teachers looking for assistance in providing their students with individualized guidance, particularly with respect to wellness issues. I am an active and fit working mother of 2 and just when I thought there was no piece of fitness equipment that could provide me any type of new results at my age, boy was I wrong! The Pro5 has not only toned my entire body more than any spin or circuit training class has ever done in a short period of time, but it has increased my flexibility, range of motion, and overall physique and core strength. I purchased this product for $17. from a catalog, it is the exact same exercise peddler and it was not worth any amount ofmoney.Its parts are very loose your socks and pant legs will catch in the metal pins that hold the peddles on.I had to have someone stand on the end of it to steady while working it.The straps that go across the feet twist which makes the feet slip.I found this item to be very aggravating.

I travel all over town teaching yoga and this mat and strap combination works great for me.It's convenient to sling over your shoulder (very useful when you also have to carry a CD player and a bag of straps and eye pillows!) plus the strap is comfortable so it doesn't chafe my shoulder if I'm wearing a tank top.

Bryan Kest's Advanced Routine-Live Bootleg Review

I really love this CD. I can't help but smile and be happy after I do it. That said, I'm also quite tired after this CD because it is a good, thorough workout. Very challenging. There are lots of standing poses like airplane and twisted moon. There are some very, very intense hip openers, some (like the one Bryan calls 'Jilly Mack Selleck Pose') that really bring me to my edge like nothing else I've ever done. I also feel this the day after in my shoulder muscles, so I would say it is a good all-over workout. This is definitely not for beginners. Be ready for a challenge.
Also, I really love Bryan. I like his attitude. His words resonate with me. He does let out some rather distracting sighs on this CD, but I've gotten used to them. I've done this CD three times in the past week. That's how much I love it.

I found this book to be a very easy to understand read. It's statistics on homeopathic treatment is incredible. I'm familar with homeopathic medicine but my husband is not. I first have to say great help when i inquired about this product. I got an email response when i had a question before i decided to purchase these weight wraps. My comment on this item is this. It works!! If u can get the darn thing to stay on. The material on it is a comfprtable but start working up a sweet it likes to slide back and forth at times making it rather difficult to even go on a brisk jog. Make sure u decided on how what size. I purchased a meduim but im starting to think maybe a large would have been the way to go. The materail will rip if u try to stretch it to get a nice slug fit especially if u want to prevent the wraps from sliding off when u work out and start sweeating. All in all its a good product and i highly recommend it if u want to give your body a workout. Running walking pushups crunches pullups swimming u name it this stuff will make a simple pull up a challenge. I also suggest that u figure out a way to make the things sweat proof so u dont have the problem i do. I have yet figure out to prevent the darn things from sliding. Another thing the weights have a tendencey to slide out. another down side of it. Aside from that its a great product.

Bar Holder Attachment for Power Rack 2" Review

This is a nice addition to my rack. It is solid as a rock and tightens down nicely. IT holds bars or anything else that might hang from it securely. The only negative is that on one side, the nut (which is like a big wing-nut)tightens and is perfectly parallel to the racks upright. On the other side, it tightens and is at an angle. The problem there is that if you were near the nut and not paying attention, you might catch yourself.

Deluxe Elliptical Trainer Review

I recently got this elliptical. I chose this one after researching other models and websites for hours. When it got here the box was in shambles, but when I opened it everything was ok. The directions tell you it is a two person job and it most definitly is, but i was able to put it together alone and i'm a girl-so there!! The machine is extremely sturdy and well engineered. It has great balance as well. The unit is a big large and is very heavy. My only complaint is that the caps on the machine are popping off after a week of use. Over all this is a great investment at a great price. You will definitly want to use it.
