Christi Taylor's Solid Gold Cardio DVD Review

The good points about this DVD is that it has a lot of features.There is the main workout, a cool down, a bunch of extra excercises, and even a "combination platters" section that combinesdifferent parts of the main workout with the other excercises.There is also the "choreography 101" and "movemaster" sections that are supposed to help you learn the steps.

However, the moves Christi does are simply too complicated.I spent most of my time tripping over myself trying to get the moves instead of breaking a sweat.The "Choreography 101" section shows the basic foot patterns, but after Christi is done modifying them in the main workout, they are unrecognizable. The "Movemaster" section is basically the core of the workout done a little more slowly, with no real further explaination of what she's doing.I spent a long time with the "movemaster" on 3/4 speed, trying to learn the combinations, just for the modifications in the main workout to trip me up.After about a week of trying, I finally gave up.

So, unless you are a dancer, you might want to try a different video.There are others out that get your heart rate up as much, without the intricate spins and footwork.

Neowraps- Wrist Wraps in 2mm by APT Review

After some reasonable use, the thumbholes start to tear out.They are extremely comfortable though, and provide good support.Also, if you don't allow them to air out between uses, they get really funky and stinky.

SlenderTone Fortex Review

It's basically a pneumatic tube...like a bicycle tire pump. You're supposed to hold it horizontally and either push the pump in, or pull it out...either in front of your chest, or behind your back. In other words, (a) you can do only a couple of exercises with it, (b) you don't get much range of motion so it's not a good workout even for the exercises you can do, (c) it feels like and is as much fun to use as a tire pump.

It has some simple electronics that counts your reps and how hard you're pressing. That doesn't make it worth buying. This is not a useful addition to your exercise toolset.

I like these a lot. I bought them for my laundry room and they have been a breeze. I didn't have any problem with a smell. They smelled like rubber, but it wasn't strong and it didn't last.

They look great and are tougher than I thought they would be, a huge improvement over the cheap foam ones I have had in the past... and they are recycled materials, not some processed junk.

Really easy to put down and pull up, sometimes I'll take one of them out in the garden to kneel on.

These things are great! Really isn't a puzzle at all.

Body Sport 55 cm. Anti Burst Fitness Ball Review

The ball is nice. I've only been using it a couple days, as the pump that comes with it (which is one reason I bought this ball over others that didn't come with a pump) is a cheap little plastic thing that split once, and after I taped it, then broke apart completely. I had to rig up a bicycle pump. Long, tiring process. Buy this ball if you want, fine, but not because it come with a pump. That would be a disappointment.

Diamond-Grip Rubber Mat - Black - 1/8" x 48" Rolls Review

Impressed by the quality of the rubber mat; the ends were cut cleanly and evenly. I used it in my car to reduce road noise, which it does a great job of. The only complaint is the strong rubber smell which is slowly going away after two days of being installed. When you consider the free shipping it's a pretty good deal too.

Ab Attack VHS Review

I am replacing a copy of this tape since my original went to college with my daughter.I had back problems for years and doing the exercise on this tape helped me tremendously.I have never reached a point where I can do the whole thing but I put it on and do 10-15 minutes every other day.There is an abs section and a back section but they both strenthen both sets of muscles to some degree.This is not a flashy tape but it is well made, the instructor is easy to follow, explains the moves clearly and has a pleasant style.I would like to see this come out in a DVD format.
