Cap Barbell Leather Ankle Strap Review

After getting sore ankles from the cheap neoprene type straps I finally invested in a pair of Cap ankle straps. They are very sturdy and the leather is very thick and stiff. They stay in place on your ankle and the rigidity of them keeps them from pulling and pinching your skin. The padding is like a synthetic wool so they are nicely padded for extra comfort and stability. The color varies from the photo, mine were light tan with vanilla fuzzy padding. I highly recommend you give these a good few coats of mink oil to soften them up and moisture proof the leather. They get easier to put on after many uses as the thick leather softens a bit. They are most comfortable if you put them on with the strap going around the outside of your ankle with the buckle to the inside. They are challenging to get unbuckled for the first several uses but gets easier the more you use them. Very durable product and very fast shipping. Expensive but worth the price!
