NRG Ball System 5 lb. Unit (Yellow) Review

For those seeking something "different" in their workouts, this product does give you that.But I found it very limiting, especially at 5 lbs.A 5 lb. medicine ball is great for many explosive type exercises, but with handles it just does not give you the same effect.For example, in doing "lunges", it's just not taxing enough unless you begin to do a high amount of repetitions...okay for endurance but not overall strength.A short bar with weight plates locked in the middle gives you the same with the advantage of adding weight if desired...same if placed at one end of a dumbbell bar for the wrist exercises.

However, if looking for some variety or training young athletes, the item has"limited" use and can be incorporated into an overall training.But I would not recommend it for all your workout needs.A regular medicine ball is far much better, or at least one with the handles built-in...these will give you more options at a lower price.
