Stamina Viper Leverage System Home Gym Review

This machine is well made and works very well.

The only thing I do not like is how much weight is needed for the chest fly. It is capable of taking 300 pounds on each side but you would need 100 pound weights to be able to get that much weight on each side in such a short distance provided for the weights.

The other exercises can be done by stacking the weights on the other area provided for those weights. The machine allows for a total of 400 pounds to be stacked side by side. There is enough room for that.

Stamina 12.5-Pound Versa-Bell II Adjustable Dumbbell Pair Review

These are a great option if you don't have space for a big set but want a variety of weights. I use them with an exercise ball and can get a good hour workout at home. They do come as a pair (I read other reviews of the same brand but another size where this had been a problem). The weight adjustment knob is plastic, and I hope it lasts, but overall, the system seems well made. The weights stay firmly on the bar and feel safe.

Product Description
Do away with your space-consuming dumbbells and consolidate to a single pair with the Stamina Versa-Bell II adjustable dumbbells. Offering a series of weight settings from 2.5 to 12.5 pounds (in 1.25-pound increments), the Versa-Bell II units do the work of nine sets of dumbbells in one, so you don't need to dedicate more than a few feet of space to your workout area. Each innovative Versa-Bell II dumbbell is outfitted with a single 2.5-pound handle connected to a dial mechanism. As you move the dial, the handle latches on to a different combination of steel weight plates, with a window display showing which weight setting you've chosen. Dial it down to 5 pounds and you'll lift only a single set of plates, but dial it up to 12.5 pounds and you'll get the whole combination. It's the easiest way possible to save space and money without sacrificing quality. Each dumbbell includes a durable, heavy-duty nylon weight tray but is also compatible with Stamina's SPS Versa-Bell dumbbell stand (sold separately).

Stamina Programmable Elliptical Trainer Review

This review pertains to model number 55-2000, but should be reflected upon during consideration of any of Stamina's products.

After 3 years of normal use, the crank on the left pedal sheared off from where it connected to the pedal rail. This occurred while I was using it, but thankfully I was not injured during the incident.

Just to be clear, the crank itself snapped into two pieces. It did not come loose due to faulty assembly.

I weigh approximately 225 lbs, which is under the recommended limit of 250 lbs.

I was told by Customer Service that parts were only covered for 90 days and I would have to pay to replace the crank. They could've made more of an effort to keep an existing customer happy since this COULD have resulted in an injury, but Stamina did not seem to see it that way.

I was not filled with confidence concerning the quality of the machine based on my experience after only 3 years of use, so I declined their offer and purchased a recumbent bike from Schwinn.

However, I will give it two stars because it did perform well for 3 years.Hopefully, the newer models are built a little better.

Stamina Gravity Inversion Table Review

On the advice of my chiropractor, I decided to buy an inversion table, but didn't want to spend a lot of money because I feared it would be yet another piece of equipment that would end up collecting dust in my spare room, along with my rowing machine and exercise bike.So I purchased this Calm system because it was inexpensive and I figured I could sell it or send it back if I ended up not using it.

Well, so far I and my spouse have found it to be very good for relieving back pain, and best of all you don't have to spend a lot of time on the machine.About 3 or 4 minutes a couple of times a day is all it takes to relieve lower back spasms and stretch out the spine.

Also, the machine is quite light weight and easily folds to shove in a closet or behind a wall unit.Overall, I am pleasantly surprised and would recommend this system. There is no need to spend a lot of money in order to experience the benefits of inversion therapy.

Stamina Gyrotonic Baseball Set Accessory with Video Review

Admittedly, this product is a good way to get funny looks at the gym. But after using it in the 06-07 offseason, I played my first hardball season in many years with zero arm pain. I have not explored the suggested workouts on the accompanying video, so I can't rate that element. It's tempting to overdo it when you're hooking this to a weight tower with hundreds of pounds of plates, but remember a baseball weighs less than a third of a pound -- I felt I was getting useful resistance from 5 or 10 lbs.

Product Description
A Gyrotonic Transformer is a great way to build the strength, speed, flexibility, hand-eye coordination, overall body control, and balance needed to be the best athlete you can be. When you add the Gyrotonic Baseball Set Accessory, you'll specifically work on your throwing with the resistance needed to feel and maintain proper body position. The official-sized practice baseball with attachment cord connects to all Gyrotonic Transformer units. You'll use continuous resistance through a full range of motion to improve wrist, arm, shoulder and upper torso strength adding power to your game. The included instructional video takes you through a full body workout highlighting exercises that target stretching and strengthening muscles, joints, and connective tissue. This workout improves players of all positions, at any level.

Stamina AeroPilates Reformer with Free-Form Cardio Rebounder Review

This is a good sturdy quality piece of equipment. I was afraid it might not be stable and function like some of the larger or more expensive reformers. This definitely holds it's own and I'm glad I got this one because I can keep it by the wall and then easily slide it over for the workout. All of the parts work smoothly. As far as the trampoline in the lying down position, I need to start slowly or I get a little nauseous. Most importantly, I have a herniated disc in my center back and the Pilates exercises are helping me enormously. I highly recommend it.

Product Description
The Stamina AeroPilates with Free-Form Cardio Rebounder allows you to reach and maintain your target heart rate as effectively as with a treadmill. But unlike the treadmill, this rebounder is low impact and gentle on your joints. Because you are lying on your back, there is no concussion on your legs, hips, or spine. Some Pilates' machines feature a padded jumpboard made of solid wood, but the AeroPilates Free-Form Rebounder is like jumping on a trampoline. As a result, there is more give and less shock to your joints. Plus, the AeroPilates strength and flexibility training gives you the strong, streamlined, flexible body that only Pilates can achieve.

This device is elevated about 10 inches of the floor to allow for more advanced exercises and enables you to perform over 50 exercises to tone and shape your entire body. The heavy, steel frame is durable and the four heavy-duty elastic cords provide four levels of workout resistance. The adjustable headrest, along with oversized high-density foam shoulder pads, offer additional support and comfort. This system includes two workout videos, and a color workout wall chart.

Stamina 35-1400 ATS Air Rower Review

I purchased my Stamina ATS Air Rowing Machine from Mercantila. When my stamina arrived, it was quite a workout just putting it together. I was rather disappointed, as I thought I'd be receiving better quality for 300.00. The components were obviously very cheap. Nonetheless, I was optimistically hoping to get a great workout on the machine.

I did get a great workout on the machine...for 3 weeks. Then one day I was using it, and the chain just exploded. The handle flew up in the air, and there were little pieces of metal all over the floor. Now, I'm not some Hercules or amazon. This was certainly not due to excessive force exerted on the machine. I'm just an out of shape 5' 5" woman. Mercantila was fabulous about it though. They paid to have it returned, and quickly refunded my money.

Supposing the "explosion" of my machine was a fluke, I still wouldn't recommend the Stamina ATS Air Rowing Machine. It was not very sturdy. After I'd been using it about 1.5 weeks, one of the bolts came off and hit the floor in the middle of a workout. When I tightened the bolt back on, it bent the metal. The machine has a pronounced "check" which bothered my shoulders (ironic, since I chose as air rower because it's supposed to be easier on a woman's shoulders than a piston rower) The seat was wobbly. The foot straps had to be tightened repeatedly throughout a workout. Oh, and the most ANNOYING part: every workout, within 5 minutes, one of the grips had slipped off the handle!!! And of course it would take 2-3 minutes to get it back on.

Bottom line: It's not a comfortable machine, and I think it could be downright dangerous for any kind of athlete. I'm a 5 foot 5 inch woman who's out of shape -- I can't imagine a muscular athlete using this thing without extreme irritation in the least, and possibly injury (due to the lack of sturdiness) at the most.

Product Description
Rowing is widely acknowledged as one of the best all-around fitnessactivities, and this super-sturdy air rowing machine from Stamina makes it morecomfortable and enjoyable than ever. Stamina Pilates Premier XP Reformer Review

I have over 7,000 hours of experience teaching on studio quality, spring-loaded Pilates equipment. In the last years that I taught professionally, I cut down my insane teaching schedule by teaching group classes on these machines.

They are safer than spring-loaded reformers because of the bungee cords--springs snap back.Bungee cords will move, but not with the kind of propulsive, really dramatic force you see in springs.Over and over again, I watched students do things on these reformers that would have injured them on spring-loaded equipment.

In my own practice, lack of attention has caused a moment or two of real danger;the worst thing that happened was a flying bungee cord cutting the upholstery.

Safety aside, these provide enough resistance for a really good workout. They are big enough that anyone under 6'2" can do all of the exercises, with the exception of the Semi-Circle, which is a more intermediate exercise anyway.Students with knee and hip injuries reported that they were more comfortable on these machines, possibly because the bungee cords provide less resistance.

Also, these reformers do what reformers were designed to do:in two hour-long workouts a week, these machines increased flexibility, improved back pain and dramatically changed the shape of bodies, just like studio quality equipment would.(Yes, Virginia, there is a way to get rid of saddlebags without lipo.)

Finally, unlike some other pieces of non-studio quality equipment, I can unequivocally recommend these for even very fit men.The runners, bikers and hunters in my classes really found the machine workouts challenging.

Cons:I have never been able to get replacement parts. You will need two people or one man over six feet to move each machine.Attempt to fold them up again at your own peril.Lock them away from children, or vice versa--even bungee cords can cut.

Product Description
The compact Stamina Pilates Premier XP allows you to develop better balance, more coordination, and better posture. As you follow along with Pilates expert Marjolein Brugman's workout (video included), you'll gently stretch and strengthen arms, legs, back, neck, shoulders, abdominals, and torso. Your chest will expand for deeper breathing so you finish your workout feeling energized and centered. Four heavy-duty, elastic cords provide five levels of workout resistance and the adjustable headrest and oversized high-density foam shoulder pads offer additional support and comfort. The quiet, ultra-smooth rollers and gliders provide you with a safe, effective workout, and the adjustable straps and hand grips fit any user. By simply removing the footbar, you can easily store the Premier XP when not in use.

Stamina Crystal Edge 65cm Ball with Pump Review

Delivery was 5 stars - arrived sooner than expected. After reading reviews of other body balls I expected some sort of smell, but there wasn't one. The measuring tape was easy to use and very helpful in pumping the ball to the correct circumference.Very sturdy and durable. The chart it came with is helpful for getting started. Would give - 1/2 star for the air pump continuously popping out of the ball during inflation - very annoying. Plug is secure and doesn't seem to be leaking. Great deal compared to other body balls, would recommend to anyone.

Product Description
Accompanied by a foot-operated air pump and an instruction wall chart, this soft, inflatable, latex-free rubber ball supports and cushions the body during exercises that improve strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and muscle tone. The wall chart offers detailed exercises for arms, torso, abdominals, obliques, buttocks, and legs. Recommended for people 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-11, the ball is 65cm (25.6 inches) in diameter and weighs four pounds.

Stamina Elite Total Body Recumbent Bike Review

This bike was easy to assemble, not much to put together and took me only 1 and a half hours. It works as well as the more expensive one at the employee gym where I work. My husband is using it,giving up the treadmill and loves it. It is good to tone your body and for a great cardio workout. I highly recommend this bike.It is not a boring piece of exercise equipment.

Product Description
In addition providing a standard recumbent-bicycle aerobic and lower-body workout this bike has rotating handles so arms, shoulders, and back can be exercised as well. A heavy-weighted flywheel-resistance and belt-drive train gives ensures smooth pedaling, and tension can be adjusted to any of eight levels to increase or decrease intensity without interrupting a workout. A battery-operated monitor displays speed, distance, time, calories burned, and pulse, which is measured by sensors in handrails beside the seat. The seat and seatback are molded and padded for comfort and adjustable. Oversized foot pedals and adjustable foot straps hold feet securely to improve pulling motion while pedaling. The bike also has a water-bottle holder. Assembled (instructions included), the steel-frame bike measures 49-5/8 inches long x 23-5/8 inches wide x 48-5/8 inches high and weighs 117 pounds.

About Recumbent Exercise Bikes
Despite the competition from trendy new fitness inventions, exercise bikes continue to be popular options for home exercise. They offer the same aerobic benefits of riding a bicycle at any time, in any weather, without leaving the comfort and safety of home. Exercise bikes don't take up much space, require little or no balance or coordination, and can provide an effective workout for all levels of users, from beginners to serious competitors. While the same could be said for a number of other types of home fitness equipment, the exercise bike is one of the few that allows you to watch television or read a magazine while you work out.

The term recumbent literally means "lying down." Exercising in a recumbent or reclining position allows the user to have full ergonomic back support, without causing strain on the arms, neck and shoulders, all of which can be common effects of using an upright bicycle. For many people, having convenient access to quality exercise equipment is critical to sticking with a long-term exercise program.

Stamina InMotion II Manual Treadmill Review

This was a great purchase!I enjoy doing my workouts on a treadmill, but can't afford to buy a treadmill that costs several hundred dollars. The price was perfect, assembly was easy, and it is a great workout. You do have to work a little harder to get and keep the belt moving because it is a manual, but that makes the workout even better. It takes some practice to get used to the manual belt and to figure out how to keep your steps evenly paced, but after about 5 minutes you are into the groove. The size is nice, too.The treadmill folds up and stores nicely. The belt is the perfect size for my 5'6'' stride. My husband is 6'3'' but as long as he keeps the start of his stride at the very front of the belt, he can get a great workout, too.Obviously, I am very pleased with this purchase!

Product Description
An easy, affordable way to get a great cardiovascular workout at home regardless of the weather or time of day, the Stamina InMotion II treadmill is a great choice for home workout enthusiasts. The treadmill is self-powered, meaning you set your own workout pace rather than relying on a motor. Not only is this an energy-efficient means of staying in shape, but it's also extremely quiet, so you can easily watch low-volume TV shows or listen to music while running without disturbing others. The InMotion II also offers a 42-inch-long walking/running deck that accommodates both longer and shorter strides, along with dual-weighted flywheels that keep the deck running smoothly. And users will love the multi-function, battery-operated monitor, which tracks distance, workout time, speed, and calories burned.

Perhaps most importantly for crowded homes, the InMotion II folds up and stores easily in a closet or garage. Other details include a textured, non-slip walking/running surface; foam-padded front and side rails; a heavy-duty steel frame; a pair of incline positions (8 and 10 degrees); skid-resistant rubber floor protectors to maximize stability; and a weight capacity of 250 pounds. The InMotion II--which doesn't require an electrical outlet, so you can put it just about anywhere--measures 46.5 by 43.5 by 26 inches (W x H x D) when fully assembled and weighs 56 pounds. It's also backed by a one-year warranty on the frame and a 90-day warranty on parts.

About Treadmills
Walking is still considered one of the most beneficial cardiovascular exercises for people of all ages, body types, and fitness levels. As a fundamental form of aerobic training, walking has numerous physical benefits for the heart, lungs, and circulatory system, while also increasing muscle tone and burning fat calories. Treadmills provide a convenient way to regularly exercise in all weather conditions in the comfort and safety of your own home.

From beginners just starting an exercise regimen to advanced athletes looking to maintain their fitness level, anyone interested in getting and staying in shape can benefit greatly from regular use of a treadmill. Treadmills allow you to determine the pace, distance, and complexity of the workout based on your needs, all while watching television, talking on the telephone, or reading a magazine. Much easier on sensitive joints like the knees and hips, treadmill walking and running surfaces are typically long, padded platforms that allow ample room for a long stride and comfortable, low-impact walk or jog without the harsh contact of a concrete surface.

While many different types, styles, and price ranges of treadmills exist, many of them offer unique features like a fold-up design for easy storage, an electronic display monitor showing speed, distance, workout time, incline level, and burned calories, and EKG grip pulses to monitor the heart rate while exercising. Regardless of the simple to complex features you may choose, treadmills offer an array of aerobic exercise opportunities that will provide long-lasting beneficial cardiovascular results without a commute to the gym or a jog in the rain.

Stamina Spine Corrector Barrel Review

This is a great step barrel for the price. It's sturdy and comfortably padded. You can pay several times more for one from any of the major pilates apparatus manufacturers. The video (of course it should be a dvd) is quite good with instruction by Romana and some very well-known pilates instructors as the students.
Barrel exercises are challenging for the pilates neophyte and the pro.

Product Description
Designed by Joseph Pilates, who originated the Pilates approach to exercising, this "barrel" is used for exercises to correct or restore the spine's natural curve. Exercising on the barrel strengthens abdominal, back, and shoulder muscles to keep the spine flexible. The chest opens, shoulders straighten, and any humpback disappears. An open chest allows for easer, deeper breathing. The Spine Corrector Barrel workout also tones and trims thighs and strengthens the body's core. The barrel is accompanied by a 20-minute workout video featuring Master Pilates Instructor Romana Kryzanowska and Elite Pilates Trainer Marjolein Brugman. Brugman explains and demonstrates each of 14 exercises shown on the video. The barrel measures 27-1/7 inches x 17-1/2 inches x 13-1/2 inches and weighs 18 pounds. Handles on the side that are used for specific exercises can also be used to move the barrel around.

Stamina Seated Inversion Core Training System Review

I have been obsessed with finding the right inversion therapy device for my back and neck pain. I finally centered on this one for many reasons after researching for 3 months.

What it does and how it works is amazing. No pull on your ankles, legs and hips like a table. For me and most people I know, they just need their spine stretched not their entire body. So since your knees are bent and it's holding you by the lap belt, it gives a MUCH better spinal stretch and pull than any table can.

HORRIBLE QUALITY CONTROL THOUGH
The box was not sturdy enough to ship something this big and heavy. But I don't think any of the problems were direct shipping damage.

There's a tear in the seat. Part of the break mechanism was missing so I can't even use the break. May be dangerous to use it without it, but I'm using it anyway. One of the threads was stripped so one of the screws that holds the back support wouldn't go in. I just got it yesterday and already the adjustable ankle pad is stuck all the way in and won't release. So I can't get my feet in and it hurts cuz it's too tight. Multiple scratches and blemishes in numerous places. I wondered at 1st if it was used, but I think it was just a lot of scratched up parts that were used and very poor quality workmanship. I was a little afraid to try it, in case it fell apart. But structurally it feels pretty sturdy.

BEAR TO ASSEMBLE - BEAR TO RETURN
This thing is a bear to put together. I had to pay someone to do it for me and it took over 2 hours. So it will be too much trouble to pack up and return it.Besides that the box was in too bad a shape to re-use and basically feel apart after opening.ALSO too much cost to pay someone to assemble another one. (My eyes glazed over just trying to read the directions and I have an Internet Marketing company and work 7 days a week, so just paid someone to do it for me.) It's Sunday so I can't call Stamina or Amazon to find out what can be done.

I DON'T DO REVIEWS
I buy a TON of products on Amazon and never do reviews. The only reason I wrote this one is because 1)It feels incredibly good on my back and I would have rated that part a 5. 2) It sure is crappy workmanship so be forewarned. I would have rated that part a 1. Hence the overall 3 rating.

Product Description
Featuring a curved backrest that extents the back slightly, this device provides inversion therapy with less stress on the ankles, knees, and hips than does a flat-backrest inversion table. It's designed for people whose doctors recommend inversion therapy to reduce pressure on spinal discs, ligaments, and nerve roots while increasing blood circulation, strengthening the back, and elongating the spine. (Note: The manufacturer warns that inversion therapy is not safe for everyone and should not be undertaken without consulting a doctor.) Curved, foam-padded handlebars make it easy to assume any of six inversions positions. Foam-padded ankle collars ensure comfort and support while inverted. For easy, safe mounting and dismounting, there's a hand brake that holds the chair in place. Skid-resistant rubber floor protectors maximize stability during mounting, dismounting, and inverting.

The chair accommodates users of most heights. The device's frame is heavy-duty steel, and vinyl-covered upholstery is cushioned for comfort. Assembled (instructions included), the device measures 62 inches deep x 35 inches wide x 56 inches high and weighs 72 pounds. The frame carries a five-year warranty against defects, with parts warranted against defects for 90 days.

Stamina 15-9003 Deluxe Conversion II Recumbent / Rower Review

This is a great piece of equipment. If you are wondering if quality is compromised as a result of the 2-for-1 deal, you'll be very happy to know that it isn't. This is a smooth and quiet piece of equipment. I am very impressed with it. It is of very nice quality.

It took me about an hour to put together because I was being very attentive to the directions and taking my time. At first sight, the instructions are slightly confusing but it only takes a few minutes of looking over everything to understand them.

The monitor is of nice quality and has several different modes: time, speed, calorie, pulse, RPM and distance. It's actually built into the bike/rower with this model as opposed to being on top like a very similar model that currently goes for $100 less. To me, it looks better built in as it is with this model.

Now that I've said that, what I specifically like about this bike/rower is that is really more like a 3-in-1 machine. You not only get the bike/rower combination but they built it for strength training as well.

I was pleasantly surprised by this as I didn't know that was included. (Ihad searched through countless exercise bikes and forgot the exact details of this one except for the essentials.) But when you receive it, the manual includes diagrams of strength training exercises you can do with the machine and how you can do them using it.

You can do the following strength training exercises with the machine: back and abdominal, bicep curls (works the arms), upright row (works the arms), buttocks, leg stretch, and leg extension.

And as I said, they include diagrams/pictures of these in the instruction manual.

This extra bonus, for someone like me goes a long way, seeing as I was trying to find some easy/clutter free ways to strength train besides using resistance bands.

So now I can use it for building muscle/strength to increase my metabolism as well. In the end, I'm very glad I parted with the cash in order to get it.

This bike/rower/strength trainer is everything I need. I'm a mildly lazy exerciser. I currently have Xavix and like using it with the JMat as well as the boxing and tennis games to walk/run indoors (in place) among other exercises, but sometimes I want to sit down and work out.

Doing that everyday just got boring. I wanted to mix it up a bit so I figured a bike/rower would help a lot. Especially since I could even alternate between biking and rowing to keep those two interesting (5 min. biking, 5 min. rowing and so on). And adding my walking/running, boxing and tennis to it gives me a lot more to do and have fun in the process again.

I used to hate getting up in the morning to exercise but this bike/rower/strength trainer made it exciting again. Now I look forward to biking, rowing and strength training and more. I got a mini home gym going.

I highly recommend this product for anyone who's lazy like me and wants something easy/fun to do to keep in shape.

Product Description
Rowing and cycling are widely considered two of the best all-around activities for cardiovascular fitness and strength, and now you can enjoy both workouts in a single device with the deluxe Conversion II recumbent bike/rower. Rowing is an efficient total body workout that uses all the major muscle groups, including the legs, arms, shoulders, abdominals, and buttocks. It's also one of the best exercises for building a strong back, as well as one of the most effective low-impact aerobic exercises for people who want to increase their metabolisms and burn more calories without hurting their joints. Stamina 55-1539 Therapy Inversion System Review

This thing is wonderful from the moment you mount it and ease back to level and then to a slight downward incline. It balances your weight so you feel a sense of weightlessness.I felt the pressure on my groin ease up as I tilted back a little.I heard my back gently snap once.Something eased back into place or had some pressure relieved from it.It's very relaxing and soothing to just gently rock back and forth a little bit without even trying to go for full inversion. All the people on Amazon who said they wish they had gotten one of these years ago instead of making so many trips to the chiropractor were speaking utter truth!

Product Description
The multiple-benefit Stamina 55-1539 therapy inversion system uses the samemethod that many hospitals and doctors use to reduce pressure on spinal discs, ligaments, and nerve roots while also increasing blood circulation, strengthening theback, and elongating the spine. Inversion therapy is natural and noninvasive, and helpscounteract the daily stress that contributes to a stiff back and neck.

The system is outfitted with a patented Pellicle mesh bed that conforms to the bodywhile facilitating air circulation, along with a pair of invert/return assist handlebars, which make it a breeze to invert to any angle and return to the starting position. The leg- lock system, meanwhile, holds the ankles securely without restricting them. Other detailsinclude an extended, easy-to-reach handle on the leg mechanism; curved, foam-paddedankle collars for added comfort and support; a chrome height-adjustment beam; anadjustable three-position footbar; and an attractive pewter-colored frame. The therapyinversion system, which folds into a compact footprint for storage, is backed by a five- year warranty on the frame and a 90-day warranty on all other parts.

About Inversion Tables
Back pain is an uncomfortable and cumbersome ailment for millions of people. It can strike repeatedly and without warning, nearly paralyzing its victims with pain and discomfort. Inversion therapy is an excellent way to prevent and treat chronic or recurring back pain. This form of therapy treats back pain by hanging a person upside-down by their ankles. The only problem with this therapy is a risk of spinal injury because of the procedure's lack of support. Fortunately, inversion tables remove this risk. A person can lie on an inversion table, and then gradually turn themselves upside down, always fully supported by their ankles. With precise balance, simple arm movements control the rotation of the inversion table. Special tether straps or locking hinges allows users to stop a rotation at just the right angle in order to stretch a specific place in their back.

This technique has proven effective for relieving spine compression, elongating the spine, and reversing minor spinal dislocations. Of course, this treatment is not for everyone. People with glaucoma, very high blood pressure, bone disorders or a history of severe spinal injury or surgery should be careful and check with a physician before administering inversion therapy. However, with a bit of practice and an breath of caution, inversion tables can be your ticket to a pain-free and healthier back.

Stamina 15-0125 InStride Folding Cycle Review

I bought this to move my legs while I'm on the computer or watching TV.Although setting it up is easy (one screw) the final product is not worth the money, in my opinion.

- The grips do not stay in place on the cycle nor do they grip to the floor (hard or carpeted).
- The foot loops are plastic and feel cheap and poorly constructed - they did not secure my feet.
- There is a resistance knob, but it is difficult to turn and only has two settings - free and easy or slightly more difficult. When pedaling, it is hard to achieve and even flow, instead it feels choppy (probably from the poor resistance).
- The little black timer counts seconds but nothing else and is difficult to reset (though easy to pause).

This product would probably be better suited for hand pedaling as a way to get your heart rate up when other exercise is too difficult or dangerous, but for someone who just wants a little more movement during a sedentary job - the 40.00 would be better spent else where.

Product Description
Tired of trudging to the gym for your cardio every day, but don't have the space or money to invest in a home exercise bike? Turn to the Stamina InStride Cycle XL, a portable folding exercise bike that gets your heart rate up while storing easily on a closet shelf. The InStride measures a mere 19 by 15.25 by 12.25 inches (W x H x D)--about the size of a small suitcase--so you can bring it to the office or on vacation in a pinch. More significantly, the InStride lets you pedal with your feet while seated for a lower body workout, or with your hands for an upper body workout. As a result, you can improve your cardiovascular health and strengthen your upper and lower body muscles all from the comfort of your own home.

The InStride Cycle XL is equipped with a battery-operated electronic monitor that times your workout and keeps you motivated. The unit's convenient tension control, meanwhile, offers several resistance levels, so you can vary your workout intensity depending on your fitness level. And thanks to the sturdy nonslip rubber feet, the InStride stays securely in place while you exercise. Other features include handy foot straps, a durable steel tubular frame, and a pewter gray finish. The InStride, which weighs a mere 9 pounds, carries a 90-day warranty.

The Benefits of Cycling
Cycling improves your cardiovascular health, boosts the functioning of the heart and blood vessels, and decreases your risk of heart disease. It also increases HDL (good cholesterol) and reduces the amount of triglycerides in the blood, helping lower blood pressure. Of course, aerobic conditioning is just the beginning, as the constant movements demanded by the InStride improve your muscle strength in the legs, arms, shoulders, and backs. And exercising your muscles helps prevent osteoporosis and the risk of broken bones. Finally, cycling helps you maintain flexibility without stressing the joints, and can reduce discomfort from arthritis or back pain. Other benefits include improved digestion, better lung function, and higher metabolism.

Stamina 7250 Magnetic Fusion Recumbent Exercise Bike Review

I was surprised there were no existing reviews for this bike, and in fact I was reluctant to purchase it for that reason, but I'm so glad I did! It's exactly what I was looking for. I'll break down the details in depth for anyone considering this bike:

Delivery - The package did arrive a bit banged up, but all the parts were there and nothing was damaged. It is heavy though... my dad brought it over for me and it took both him and another man to get it up the stairs to my apartment on a dolly.

Assembly - My dad (a mechanical engineer) assembled it for me and it did take about two hours. Mind you this was at a leisurely pace while simultaneously watching a movie. It wasn't terribly complicated, just time consuming. The parts all seem to be of high quality and heavy weight.

Appearance - I love the way this bike looks! It has a more sleek design than most. It fits perfectly in my small apartment living room and isn't even an eye-sore. Technically you need about 4.5' (length of base) x 2.5' (width of widest point, the lower handlebars) of floor space. I also love the walk-thru design, it makes getting on and off less cumbersome.

Functionality - It has plenty of variety in it's programs. I especially like that it has two programs which automatically adjust resistance based on your heart rate (the heart-rate monitors are located in the handlebars). The monitor is bright, easy to use, and has all the features you would want to monitor your progress. I also like that it shows which stage of the program you are in. The column flashes depending on which stage of resistance you are at and you can see how many more columns of resistance levels are left to go. This helps keep you motivated; kind of like seeing the hills and valleys approach as you ride a normal bike. You can also manually adjust the pre-programed workouts to suit your needs. The seat is comfortable; not sitting-in-a-recliner comfy, but certainly adequate for a bike. I'm 5'8" and this bike adjusts to fit me perfectly, with room to spare in either direction for other height ranges. The bike seems very stable, has a water bottle holder (w/ bottle) and weighted peddles with optional straps. Also, this bike is partially recumbent which I find way more comfortable than either an upright or a fully recumbent bike.

The Workout - The best part... this bike is virtually SILENT! I am amazed at how quite it is! I don't think someone in another room could hear it, let alone my scary, hearing-sensitive downstairs neighbors (big plus!). If you're concerned about noise than this bike is for you! I can watch my tv at the same volume I would if I were just sitting on the couch. I worked out for 30 minutes today on the "Interval" setting and was able to work up a good sweat, felt the burn, and my bum and back stayed comfy the whole time. Its great to peddle away, watch your favorite show, and before you know it your workout is done!

All in all - LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!
