Bodylastics ***TERRELL OWENS SUPER STRONG MAN Heavy Duty Resistance Exercise Bands System with User Book & DVD Review
The TO set arrived in the mail today. It took roughly 5 days even with the Super Shipping Saver and the packaging wasnt too much but for bands of rubber..You really have no need for it anyway. The contents were laid out pretty well with the cables in one bag and the accessories in the other. Everything that was stated arrived and was accounted for with no issues.
Overall impressions at first glace..I thought it was a pretty good setup. Their were no defects or any issues with any of the items that I had received. One thing that I had noticed though was the included bag/carrying case is a bit on the smaller side. I placed all of the items(All Cables, 1 Set of Ankles, 1 Door Ancor, 1 Set of Hand Grips) that I would be using in the bag and it seemed..fairly full. Personally I think the bag will last a litttle while but I think overtime..the bottom portion will probably begin to tear. I'm not certain but its just how I feel based on how full the bag is and the overall look of it.
The TO Diet/Exercise guide looked decent but I personally wouldnt/wont use it. The included user manual is nice and I recommend that you take a look at it before you start using the set. It has a circuit listing and a few other programs along with exercises that you can do to help get in better shape. All of the Bodylastics sets come with atleast 30 days of the Strength University and I recommend that you atleast use it for 30 days. I say this because..You can look at the manual all you want but it dosent really help you to get the form down like actually seeing it does. One to note is that if you do the 30 day trial to Strength University..make sure that before the 30 days is up you cancel it. Otherwise you are setup on an automatic billing cycle and its 9.95 a month. Personally it isnt worth the 9.95 a month at all but for the first month it is great to get your form down.
I havent really used the TO Set a whole lot yet. I just did a few exercises with it earlier to get a feel for the cables. They are a lot different then pulleys/free weights and you should take this into consideration. I havent really lifted in a long time so I plan to try and get in better shape with these. One thing that you should spend some time finding out when you first get the set is where you stand resistance wise. You should go through whatever routine you are doing and make a note of the reistance you are using..I'd something that isnt too heavy but isnt too light either and work your way up. One thing that I noticed is that..I dont know where i stand and it kind of gets to be a hassle at the start because im unsure of where to start at each exercise as far as resistance. It can really slow down your work out. I think if you make a note that should speed things up and you'll eventually get used to it.
The door ancor and other accessories seem to built decently. I was a bit skeptical with the door ancor but it held up pretty well. The anckle/hand straps are fairly comfortable in my opinion and have plenty of room for a lot of cables. Even with all 7 cables hooked up..you still have room for probably another 3 or4.
I think this set is good for those that plan to use resistance cables only and will want to upgrade in the future. Personally I got the TO set because..I thought it was the most balanced set that I could get. The max tension set..I thought for my long term goals was a bit skimpy and I'd eventually have to spend money to get additional cables adding up to roughly the cost of the TO set anyway.
I had looked into the TNT Power Cables as well..and it is a lot cheaper but It dosent come with a whole. It came with cables(40Ib cables) and two handles and a door ancor. For me and anyone else just starting out..I dont really think the TNT Power cables would work out well. I think the only way the TNT power cables would work out well for me would have beenif I purchased additional cables..and considering they are between 5 - 15.00 each..The cost would have been around 80 or so anyway. Even at that though you dont really get the same variation as the TO set has.
My conclusion is that..The TO set is decently put together with a good variation of resistance. Its a quality set with a life time warrenty(5.95 replacements on everything after 90 days). I'd recommend this set if your a man or husband/wife that wises to get a good set that you can share. If your a women..i'd recommend that you get the Max Tension set unless you plan to put on a lot of muscle. I think for a women..most of the extra resistance in the TO set would go to waste and I dont think it would be worth the extra 35.00in my opinion.
I hope this review has been somewhat helpfull. I tried to cover the basics of the set and give decent feedback on the items. Please do your research before you purchase an item or if you can try it out first so that you know what you are buying.

Hula Hoop Innovation for Exercise-- Wavy Hoop 2 Lb. Bagged - No Sponge Item Review
However, that being said, I do have to warn you that the first couple of days will be somewhat painful. I guess my abs were caught off guard with this sudden burst of intense (and believe you me, it is intense) exercise regimen and decided to rebel for a while. I'm no baby but I will admit that I was tempted to give up because the pain was a bit too much at first but now hooping feels really great. I should also add that I'm not very sensitive and have a really high threshold for pain. For me, the hoop didn't leave any marks whatsoever but I should mention that my roommate tried doing it one night for 10 minutes and woke up the next morning with major bruises on both sides of her waist (where hula hoop hits as it rotates around your body). She also purchased one but without the little bumps that this specific model has. Hope this helps!

Supermats 3'x6.5' Treadmat Review
A much better alternative is a 4' x 6' x 3/4" thick rubber mat that you can buy from a farm supply store such as Blain's Farm and Fleet or Tractor Supply Co. I can't take credit for this idea. I discovered this when searching the web for a durable mat. This was suggested by many bodybuilders on the bodybuilding dot com website/forum. These rubber mats are called "Horse Stall Mats" or "Cow Stall Mats". These mats are made to last for years of abuse from cows and horses stomping, urinating, and other shtuff. Therefore, they will certainly hold up to exercise equipment, dumbbells/weights being dropped, and human sweat without a problem. I purchased two of these Cow Stall Mats from Farm and Fleet for $39 each.

Thera-Band Exercise Bands - Latex Bands - 6 Yards Review
Product Description
Exercise bands are ideal for building upper and lower body strength for rehabilitation or fitness. Whether building strength after shoulder or knee surgery or improving athletic performance, our bands, tubing and corresponding resistance exercise programs can be easily and economically used for any exercise program. The progressive resistance of our products parallels the basic concepts of building strength and mobility. As each level is mastered, the resistance can be increased with ability. In general, tan and yellow are used for early rehabilitation or very frail individuals. The most common resistances are red, green & blue. Black, silver and gold are typically used by athletes. The use of elastic resistance rather than weight-bearing exercises minimizes pressure on the joints and decreases the possibility of incurring other injuries. They can be used while traveling, sitting at home or even in the office. Uses for the Thera-Band Bands include: exercise, gym, balance, fitness, birthing, yoga, pilates, and stability and resistance.

Mini Stepper Exerciser Review
My current evaluation: General design is excellent. Materials doubtful.
Following is my original review....
I rarely do this. Who has time to review products? But with this item, I feel the world needs to know how great it is. I can't say I know every home stepper out there, but I have been burned before. And I used to pay a lot for a health club membership, largely because it had a great step machine. My advice for now: Just buy this one. It's as good as the one I used at the health club; I mean it! You will not find anything better. And here's why. Smooth, quiet, compact, solid (well made), adjustable, and consistent. I include "consistent," because one stepper I owned was almost impossible to operate until it heated up - imagine that? But not the Mini Stepper Exerciser: Get on it, and your first step is just like your last, and I'm on the equipment for as much as an hour at a time. A long time, you say? That's nothing. Because the hardest part about exercising is finding time to do it. And a lot of people don't want to dedicate that time. And that's what's good about the Mini Stepper Exerciser. You can do it while you do something you probably already do: watch TV. Imagine working out your calves, thighs, and all the way up to your butt and even beyond while you watch Dexter. Now, just two important tips I'd like to mention about this machine. Your stepper can start to squeak. Don't put up with it; you can get it back to total quiet mode with teflon lubricant (from the bicycle shop). If you don't find the "spot," keep spraying every moving joint. Sometimes it takes overnight for the lubricant to reach the squeak. Also, read the directions about adjustment: To get to the highest, hardest step level, raise both steps at once to their highest level, then turn the knob. You may need to keep turning, even if you think you've got it all the way if you want to step high and hard. I wasn't raving about this machine until I figured out how to get it to a worthwhile level. Oh, and here's a trick for those athletic types (yes, I'm one of those): put an old pillow under the feet when you step. Really. The new thinking with exercise is, be off balance when you do it. Using the pillow this way is the equivalent of running on sand in your bare feet or doing crunches on a stability ball. Instability works the deeper, smaller muscles that simple movements, alone, don't give you. Hey, get off that couch, boys and girls. It's so important. And sure, watch the tube, but become a stepping potato from now on. This item is your answer to all your exercise dilemmas.
Product Description
Take a step towards a healthier you. This mini stepper exerciser is ideal for toning the waist, calves, hips and thighs while raising your heart rate and helping you to increase your cardiovascular fitness.Features a unique adjustable tension pulley system that makes the stepping action smoother for low impact exercise. The dual hydraulic cylinders work independently to replicate stair climbing. The built in digital computer makes it easy to track your progress by calculating elapsed time and number of steps you have taken. The non-skid feet prevent this exercise stepper from slipping, ensuring your safety. This exercise equipment has been constructed of heavy-gauge steel and the footrests are high-impact plastic composite. Two AA batteries are included. .

Go Fit Ultimate Pro Gym Review
This way it will stay on no matter what weight you use. I promise...I use A LOT of weight for leg training.
I have been involved in health and fitness for over 20 years as a Body Builder, Body Sculptor, Trainer, Therapist, Coach and many other positions in the field. I am currently the Director of Personal Success Now.
I bought this to check it out - to determine if it was a good option for some of my clients who do not want to go to the gym. I also travel and wanted some way to ensure I would have the ability to work out anywhere.
Finally, no more work outs with a towel for resistance!!
This little gym in a bag is great. It comes in a small bag and is very light. It comes with a poster or book demonstrating possible workouts and it comes with a DVD (or CD) that describes and demonstrates workout possibilities. You can play this CD as a "trainer" or view the exercises singly.
The DVD has in a very good core performance, functional workout and some excellent information on nutrition. (The CD features Trainer and Fitness Model Linda Leene, and describes and demonstrates workout possibilities. You can play this CD as a "trainer" or view the exercises singly)
You get the aforementioned ankle straps, handles, and a door anchor. You also get a 5, 10, and 15 pound cable. The weight range is 5 to 30 pounds in 5-pound increments by combining the cables. The handles are comfortable and the cables hook and unhook very easily.
The possible weight/cable combinations look like this:
5 / 10 / 15 / 20=15+5 / 25=15+10 / 30=15+10+5
Additional cables are only $4 from the company...note: if you need more weight, you only need to get another heavy cable...because you can create any combination up to 45 pounds in 5 pound increments with only the 1 additional cable.
Combinations from 35 to 45 pounds look like this:
35=15+15+5 / 40=15+15+10 / 45=15+15+10+5
Every time you need more weight, you only need another 15-pound cable.
The weights discussed above represent the resistance for each hand. So, doing curls with the heavy cable is like curling 15 pounds in each hand.
I highly recommend this as an at-home and on the go training tool!
For safety - Always check your cables for wear before working out. Always make sure the door anchor is secure in the door and the door is closed and LOCKED before training with the door anchor. Always warm up before your workout. Always warm down and do flexibility movements after your workout.
There are down-loadable sheets for "tone and shape" and for "muscle and strength" 12-week workouts.
gofit.net/prod/progym.html
Eat right for you. Take your vitamin. Get enough sleep. Drink your water. Avoid artificial- colors, flavors, and preservatives in your diet. Laugh often...and live well!
One final note to update this review - in 5 months of using the ProGym, I have lost 10 pounds of fat and gained over 20 pounds of muscle.
Wishing you Personal Success Now!

Stamina 1350 Magnetic Resistance Recumbent Bike Review
To elaborate, this bike when it works is great. It is comfortable, quiet, and the digital monitor is nice. However, I guess I was unlucky and got a factory dud. After just one exercise routine the digital monitor stopped working when you started/stopped pedaling. You could reset it and it still not activate once you started pedaling. At this point I almost decided to send it back, but I decided to open up the case and take a peek inside. What I found was the little magnetic pickup had moved out of position and was too far away from the magnet that's attached to the pulley. It wouldn't trigger. The sensor itself is glued to a flimsy piece of plastic covered in a protective gel and held to the frame by a single screw. I tightened up the screw and it started working again, but only temporarily. The vibration of using the bike moved it out of place again and the monitor stopped working.
This time I decided to tear it down again and fix it myself instead of going through the hassle of sending it back for an exchange. I had to drill and additional hole higher up on the frame to mount it properly and closer to the magnet. I then screwed it down with the original screw and put some CA adhesive on the plastic where it touches the frame. Now it works perfectly. Rock solid, but after my own toil.
It is a less than ideal situation when you purchase a brand new product then have to tear it down and practically rebuild it. That is why I am giving this bike a 2 star rating. Outside of that it works great and is nice and quiet.
The manufacturer of this bike needs to re-engineer the magnetic pick up sensor and how it's mounted on the frame. Everything from it's location and use of better materials needs to be addresses. The flimsy and pliable piece of plastic is deplorable. Spend and extra $5 and add an additional screw for more secure mounting purposes and a much thicker and stiffer piece of plastic that contains the sensor. Because my bike was obviously affected by the vibrations that occurred during shipping.

Exercise bikes don't take up much space, require little or no balance or coordination, and can provide an effective workout for all levels of users, from beginners to serious competitors. GoFit Exercise Ball (65 cm) Review

Diamondback Fitness 900Ub Upright Exercise Bike Review
Product Description
Proving than an upright bike doesn't have to be an uptight bike, the 900Ub upright fitness bike from Diamondback Fitness is a beautiful blend of form and function. The 900Ub offers a number of features that help it stand above competing bikes, including a Dual Smart Fan with multiple speeds to keep you cool when pedaling hard. As a result, you can work out in complete comfort even during the sweltering days of summer, a must for people who are easily discouraged by hot weather. The bike also includes an upgraded 20-pound flywheel that runs extra smoothly, along with self-leveling pedals with adjustable straps. And riders will love the variety of ergonomic touches, which include a Comfort Ride saddle with fore/aft adjustment, adjustable handlebars with elbow rests, and an adjustable console position.
The 900Ub's integrated console helps track your workout progress.
The bike includes an adjustable, ergonomic seat that disperses weight evenly.
The 900Ub offers plenty of workout flexibility, with an easy-to-use console that supports several different program types, including manual, random, fat-burning intervals, glute max hill climb, target heart rate, fitness test, HR intervals, and custom trainer. The latter program is particularly valuable over the long term, as it lets you vary your workout depending on your mood. This not only keeps your attitude fresh, but it also makes your overall training regimen more efficient by challenging your body in different ways. It's also a breeze to track your workout progress thanks to the blue backlit LCD, which displays your time, pulse, calories, intensity level, RPM, speed, distance, and watts. And no workout is complete without a little motivational music, with is why the 900Ub comes with a plug-in jack for your MP3 player. Once you're plugged in, you can listen to your favorite playlists and tune out the rest of the world as you cycle through the imaginary hillsides.
Other features include an eddy current brake resistance system with 16 resistance levels, dual contact pulse sensors in the handgrips for reading your heart rate, an accessory holder on the console for magazines or books, and a weight capacity of 350 pounds. Why not burn some calories and improve your cardiovascular fitness While listening to your favorite CD or audio book, or starting your day with the morning news? - Unique system increases your resistance the faster you pedal

- Designed to offer a great cardiovascular workout
Despite the competition from trendy new fitness inventions, exercise bikes continue to be popular options for home exercise. They offer the same aerobic benefits of riding a bicycle, but with the "any time, in any weather, from the comfort and safety of home" added convenience. Exercise bikes don't take up much space, require little or no balance or coordination, and can provide an effective work-out for all levels of users, from beginners to serious competitors. While the same could be said for a number of other types of home fitness equipment, the exercise bike is one of the few that allows you to watch television or read while you work out. With uniquely designed air-resistance systems that actually increase air flow towards the body, fan bikes make an exceptional improvement on the classic stationary bike. As you pedal faster, the cooling air flow increases, making for a more enjoyable and comfortable exercising experience. Plus, fan bikes are designed to mimic the posture and feel associated with road cycles. Exercising in this position helps users train muscles as if they were cycling in the outdoors. For many people, having convenient access to quality exercise equipment is critical to sticking with a long-term exercise program, and fan bikes can be the perfect tool.

Schwinn 460 Variable Stride Elliptical Trainer Review
Schwinn 430 Elliptical Trainer
There is now a new successor in home fitness equipment. This is it!
Whenever someone thinks outside of the box and creates a new machine to appeal to more people, they create a winning product that will set the standard.Schwinn/Nautilus and their engineers/experts have done it with the Schwinn 460 Variable Strike Elliptical Trainer.
How is this different?Without making any adjustments in the machine itself, you can vary your stride from 2 inches to 26 inches. This translates to anyone in your family (of adolescent to adult age) to exercise on this piece of fitness equipment without cumbersome settings or having to get off of the machine to make adjustments.
When it comes to elliptical trainers, you really need to try the various strides to see what is comfortable to you. Some are circular and some are truly elliptical in feel. With Variable Stride Technology, this is less of an issue and I feel this is going to be comfortable for everyone who enjoys using this method of cardiac activity.Variable stride technology involves changing the length of stride based upon the pressure that you exert on the pedals - the more pressure you exert, the longer your stride, the less pressure, the shorter your stride. This is something that will take some time to get accustomed to but it doesn't take that long once you get the hang of it.
This machine can accommodate people up to 300 lbs.I weigh about 200 lbs and it's very comfortable and stable.
Basics:
The dimensions are 54"L x 34"W x 73"H where as the 430's dimensions were 59" L x 26" W x 68" H.
The machine is 5 inches taller in total height than my Schwinn 430 (and the pedals are about 3 inches higher from the floor) which may be a little difficult for people under 5 feet tall, but it is manageable. There are 3 hand settings, the moving swing arms, the stationary handles with heart rate capability and the stationary handles more forward in position without heart rate capability. However, there is an integrated wireless heart rate monitor capability utilizing a strap across the chest. The strap is more responsive to your heart rate over the stationary handles.
Set up:
My model came with prepackaged hardware with all of the tools necessary to assemble except for a 17 mm wrench.I opted to check the sizes of the various hardware and used a ratchet and my own screwdriver.Although it took about 20 minutes to get it out of the box, when you get into the assembly time, it only took a little over an hour.Luckily extra parts were included since some were missing in the prepacked 'bubble wrap'.I didn't get operating instructions so I had to refer to the website to get the manual. The assembly guide is outlined well and easy to follow step by step.It recommends using 2 people, at times (placing the base and the pedals, for example), but I was alone when I put it together. If you do the assembly by yourself, just watch your fingers when you are putting the pedals together.
My suggestion is to bypass the included tools and use your own toolbox. However, I do not recommend electric screwdrivers or other devices with high torque which would strip the screws and probably damage the unit.
Construction:
The machine is solid steel in construction. It is higher grade steel than the 430 with a gray matte finish. It is not textured like the super expensive gym equipment. The length is about the same as the 430, albeit slightly wider. The pedals are solid in construction, rubber coated/slip resistant and the action of the stride is smooth and quiet - you can watch television at a normal volume unlike other elliptical trainers and treadmills.
The handles are comfortable, rubber coated and have an ergonomic design in any of the 3 standard hand positions. It is markedly taller in height than the 430, also.
Electronics:
The unit comes with a back-lit, touch screen that is intuitive, easy to read, and shows your progress in calories, distance, time (interval and total time), pulse, speed, calories, and level. The LED text is clear and easy to read. You have manual mode and 16 programs but in your profile, you can create 2 customizable workouts one interval at a time. I miss the Calorie Goal feature (i.e. pre-set workout to burn 500 calories).
The customizable feature keeps track of your progress over time: total distance, change in weight, total calories, time spent, etc.
Depending upon what measurement system you are familiar with, you can toggle between Metric and American Standard.Contrast of the touch screen can also be adjusted with a toggle of the button (see instructions).
When it switches from one interval to the next, it does beep to alert you.
One practical note:You cannot extend the length of the workout in a programmed mode (i.e. add minutes) - all you can adjust is the resistance.
Usage:
The default level is level 3 which is a good start when trying a new variation of elliptical trainers. You can go in forward and reverse rather easily.Even at a faster rate and longer strides the machine is stable/quiet.The stair stepping function is comfortable, as is the walk and running function. With the different strides which can be done on the fly, including reverse, you can concentrate on different muscles in the same workout.
I don't know if this is a matter of the design but I cannot seem to go beyond a cadence of 60 RPM, no matter how low the resistance is set.On the 430, I found myself going as high as 76 to 80.As long as your workout is intense enough, I suppose that is OK since my heart rate is rising with increased cadence.
There are 16 different resistance levels but beyond 14 is more resistance training than cardiovascular work.
High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is one of the most effective and efficient methods of burning calories during and after your workout. You can easily do it on this machine.I personally think that this machine was designed for that purpose (my opinion).
On my profile, I created a customized workout simulating climbing a mountain and going down a mountain whereas the other customized workout is an interval of high resistance alternating with lower resistance for recovery.
With the heart rate monitoring strap, you don't have to worry about losing track of your heart rate by switching from the stationary to moving handlebars. It works well and I only infrequently lose signal. It is instantaneous and this feature really only appears on the premium exercise equipment.
Practical issues:
A large water bottle cage is sturdy/stable.It can accommodate a 1 liter water bottle, my remote controls or anything reasonably small that you may need to have nearby (i.e. cordless phone, pager, cellular phone).
A fan works in 3 speeds and actually works well and it is a nice feature.Definitely allows me to go 'the extra mile' when I am getting overheated.I would have preferred the fan to be at the top of the instrument panel, as opposed to the bottom of it - it is fixed in angle so it cannot be adjusted.
My only gripe is the size of the plastic support for placing a book over the top of the control panel. It accommodates for a book of only a thin size, not a medical text book (unlike the 430, where I mounted my laptop onto the reading rack with ease). The 430 had a book support made of steel.
Customization:
2 users can be entered to monitor progress and customize workouts.Entering names utilizing the limited toggle switches takes some practice and is slightly cumbersome but not a deal-breaker.Your weight and Body mass index (BMI) are tracked which aid in your progress.
Mobility:
This is a rather heavy machine and where it is assembled, is going to be the place where it stays. The handle in the back and small wheels in the front allow for pushing and pulling. It is mobile but will require a good boost up to get the front wheels onto the ground. However, it really requires a 2 person evolution to prevent back injury.
Conclusion:
If you are looking for a more versatile machine to have variability in the same workout, or even looking for a machine that has a wider range of strides, look no further than this machine.Out of the box, this piece of equipment can accommodate for a wider range of size of users (with regard to height, stride, leg length and fitness levels). It is comparable to machines much higher in price ($2000 and up) but with a significantly smaller footprint which does not compromise stability (or space).
I highly recommend this product.Through Amazon.com you get free shipping; other sellers may charge a hefty shipping charge. So, make that New Year's Resolution early and do yourself a favor, get this machine.
The following link is the User's Manual from the Manufacturer:

UPDATE:
After 80 miles (so far), I still enjoy using this product. To simulate a 'stair stepper', I find the best way to use this unit is to pedal backwards (with an up/down motion) at a higher intensity level (about 10-14).You can make your quads and calves burn, in the process.
I am typically only going at an intensity of 6 (except when simulating a stair stepper at level 14).
UPDATE 2 (Jan 2009)
Still going strong and I am still using the machine. It has not ended up as a coat rack/clothes dryer, yet.
I can only go about 64 to 66 RPM, by forward strides at the lowest setting.Beyond that, it doesn't feel as stable and the sounds of the cam is unsettling. With that, I would recommend that you try it before getting the machine since it may not meet your expectations - if you want a faster rate. However, it does not take away from the machine, for a majority of users.
UPDATE 1/23/2009
One limitation that you will notice that you will have no upper extremity resistance, unlike other elliptical machines. You cannot adjust upper extremity resistance, and its motion is dependent upon the pedal action.Your work around is to alternate between upper body and lower body emphasis.
UPDATE 3/19/2009
So I tried the stair stepper function in the past week.
I always hate stair stepping, since my thighs light up on fire! However, I was on level 8 on hills doing intervals for 1:15 with the stair stepper stroke (it is a backwards stroke going up and down while I rotate my hips - no, sorry, I will not post a video of this).I was hitting anywhere from 77 to 88 RPM! My heart rate was flashing at 155 beats per minute. So, yes, you can go above 65 RPM, in the stair step mode. You need to concentrate and stay in a rhythm or you easily come out of the up and down motion, and go reverse.
It kicked my tail but I burned 460 calories.
The more I use this, the better it gets, for me.'Running' strides do not work for me, it sounds like I am going too fast for the mechanism in the housing (flop - flop sounds).

Mindy Mylrea's Gliding Cardio Crazy DVD (2008) Review
Intro (2.5 minutes)
Warm Up (2.5 minutes)
Gliding Cardio Dance (30 minutes)
Gliding Cardio Intervals (12.5 minutes)
Gliding Cardio Step (14.5 minutes)
Cool Down & Stretch (4.5 minutes)
In the Warm Up, Mindy simply gets you moving on the discs, and she transitions right into the first cardio segment the "Dance" portion.I say "Dance" because there really isn't anything more dance-y here than in Mindy's previous gliding workouts; in this section, you'll do moves such as gliding from side-to-side, circling with the discs, lunging from side-to-side, squatting, etc.Mindy does vary the tempos and the repetitions, but still, at 30 minutes, this section started to feel a bit tedious after awhile.
The next section is Intervals, or what Mindy describes as sports drills. Here she uses the discs mainly as markers, either by holding them or placing them on the floor. Also, she states that because gliding itself is low-impact, this entire segment adds impact. The exercises include Squat Sky Drill (hopping squat), Intervals (ski hop), Agility Square (hopping with discs as markers), Skate, T-Step, Line Drill, Hop+1/4 Turn, Disc Circle (1 foot), Carioca (little dance holding disc).
Finally there is the step segment. For the first 10 minutes or so of this segment, the step is used as a marker only, and so the actual gliding moves are really no different than in the Cardio Dance section--eg, side steps, etc.--which was kind of disappointing.During the last 5 minutes, Mindy actually incorporates the step for a few moves such as the Burpee (holding onto the step with the hands while sliding the feet in and out), a lunging glide with one foot on the step, and knee lifts with one foot on the step.
For the Cool-Down, Mindy has you keep one foot on a disc in order to perform a series of lower body stretches on that side; you then repeat on the other side to finish.Overall, I did not enjoy this workout as much as I had hoped.Given that I like the low impact nature of gliding, I didn't like having the higher impact intervals segment thrown into the mix.But I found even the gliding work itself less appealing than in Mindy's original Gliding set, and I felt the work less intensely in my lower body. This DVD might be better suited for someone who enjoys mixing low and high impact work, but for me, I'd rate it 3 1/2 stars.
Product Description
Join Gliding's creator Mindy Mylrea for a fantastic fun and heart pumping cardio ride. Experience three complete cardio workouts incorporating the Gliding® discs and cardio combos. Mindy starts you off with Gliding® classic cardio where the moves focus on angles and speed variations. Sports drills are next using the discs both for Gliding® and as an agility tool. Gliding® with step finishes off the workout using the step as a marker, anchor, or level change. This workout is fun, fast paced, and challenging.

Sunny Health & Fitness Motorized Mini Bike Review
The most important feature turned out to be the dial that controls the speed. This provides almost infinite (so it seems) speeds. The digital ones can't do that. When he first started he needed the slower speeds that only this dial could provide.
This machine has performed flawlessly, it has been used almost every day for 2 months with no problems. The timer is a great feature, the machine shuts off when it reaches 0.
Minor Issues
1) We removed the calorie counter as it gets in the way and kept falling off.It wasn't needed anyway.
2) The blue plastic feet are not secured to the legs and tend to spin when moving it around. Secure the blue feet and it would be a perfect machine.
My Dad's trainer checked it out before he started using it.

Lifecore LC-800RB Recumbent Exercise Bike Review
Former athlete who's busy and hates to work out.I like to snowboard and wakeboard and needed something to improve leg strength.
Also, I'm closing in on 50 and in need of an efficient method for improving cardio.
Very reluctant to plunk down major cash for a clothes hanger.
Can't stand treadmills and I don't like riding a bicycle.
Suffer from light ankle and knee issues that compelled me to find a low-impact solution.
I'm 6'4" 225 lbs now...I was 6'4" 190 lbs in college.
+'s
Solid construction and easy to put together - just a half dozen things that need to be installed - good directions and decent quality parts.
Intuitive interface and easy to understand programs.Cardio analysis seems decent - good enough but not as good as the mayo clinic. Resistance levels seem to be adequate - the first level was actually a bit stiffer than I would have guessed the first time I sat down...it's crazy easy now after two weeks of riding.
I can multi-task while working out!I can read, play guitar, listen to music - a bit of a revelation for me.Can't do that on a track or a treadmill.
Prior to shopping for a bike I had never uttered the word recumbent. My first instinct was to buy an upright - seemed normal to me.After some research tho I eventually leaned toward the recumbent and this one in particular - it's actually at about a 30 degree angle - not horizontal - so it's easy on the back and puts you in a position to multi-task!
Very quiet and small footprint.
Amazon delivery efficient and timely as usual.
-'s
haven't come across one yet but if you're taller than 6'4" you'll need to build a back seat - I'm all the way back and it's just right.
Product Description
Built using the same compact 44-inch frame as LifeCore's award-winning 900RB and 1000RB bikes, the LC-800RB recumbent exercise bike is comfortable and sturdy, yet takes up far less space than many competing recumbent bikes. As a result, the LC-800RB is perfect for space-restricted basements, dens, and other locations. The bike is outfitted with such features as an ultra-reliable motorized resistance system that creates a smooth, comfortable pedaling performance, along with a 5-inch pedal diameter that helps reduce joint stress. More significantly, the bike's variety of workout programs--which includes 12 preset programs, four heart-rate-control programs, and 16 levels of magnetic resistance--make it easy to design a custom exercise routine. And it's easy to track your progress thanks to the large LED display, which shows your time, distance, speed, calories, and pulse.
The bike's large LED display shows time, distance, speed, and more.Perhaps the bike's most popular feature, however, is the step-through recumbent frame, which makes the bike easy to mount and comfortable to ride. It's perfect for people who suffer from saddle sore on traditional exercise bikes, or who want to protect their knees from repeated pounding. Other details include contact heart rate sensors on the grips, an infinitely adjustable sliding seat track, a Poly-V flexonic drive belt guaranteed never to stretch, built-in wheels for added mobility, and a weight capacity of 300 pounds. Powered completely by batteries, the LC-800RB measures 24 by 42 by 44 inches (W x H x D), weighs 108 pounds, and carries a two-year warranty on parts and a 90-day warranty on labor.
The compact frame is ideal for smaller homes.About LifeCore Fitness

Despite the competition from trendy new fitness inventions, exercise bikes continue to be popular options for home exercise. They offer the same aerobic benefits of riding a bicycle at any time, in any weather, without leaving the comfort and safety of home. Exercise bikes don't take up much space, require little or no balance or coordination, and can provide an effective workout for all levels of users, from beginners to serious competitors. While the same could be said for a number of other types of home fitness equipment, the exercise bike is one of the few that allows you to watch television or read a magazine while you work out.
The term recumbent literally means "lying down." Exercising in a recumbent or reclining position allows the user to have full ergonomic back support, without causing strain on the arms, neck and shoulders, all of which can be common effects of using an upright bicycle. For many people, having convenient access to quality exercise equipment is critical to sticking with a long-term exercise program.
