I got these straps because I thought they fit my needs better than the "heavy duty" ones, which are described in a way that makes you think they are for big-time power lifters only. I was wrong. I may not be that hard-core, but these are inadequate for doing heavy squats. If you are at all serious about lifting, get the thicker straps with the red stripe.
