Jacobs Ladder Review

I use this machine at my gym regularly. It will tire you much more easily than your ordinary treadmill, elliptical, or Stairmaster, because you have to pick up your arms as well as your legs. The self-adjusting speed also has a tendency to make one go faster and faster to "keep up," and then to have to finally slow down again. But that is a good thing: it means that one never feels unsafe on this machine.

Climbing is one of the best cardio activities around, up there with running and swimming, and unlike those it doesn't require high impact movement or a conveniently located pool. Plus, like swimming, climbing will work both the upper and lower body. That makes it a great way to complement weight training by working the aerobic part of your muscles, and not just the anaerobic.
