I have been using this elliptical for about 6-7 months, 4 times a week for 20 minutes. Early on it started squeaking, so I called Body Solid and he said to spray some silicone on the parts I thought were making the noise. Being a mechanic for a living, working on similar equipment for a rehab healthcare facility, I knew by the sound of it, that wouldn't quiet the noise. I applied some synthetic motorcycle chain lube to all the pivots that had brass bushings and that took care of the problem.Now what started out as a howling noise, turns out to be the bearing on the main 15lb wheel. In a short time the bearing came apart and it is now down for the count. I will be contacting Body Solid and see how the "Lifetime" warranty works, and do a follow up.
In looking back, I wish I would have spent more money to get a better quality product.
UPDATE--- I made a call to Body Solid and explained the problem on a Monday. The technician was very receptive and friendly, and I had the part on Friday, no charge. Great service!! Even though it was still under labor and parts warranty, I installed the part.
